The New Updated RCI List brings Great News for M. Phil Clinical Psychology Aspirants as two more Institutions have been given the approval to provide the course. The Approval list of 21st September 2022 includes the name of the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (Divyangjan) (NIEPVD), Dehradun and S. S. College, (Run by Chouhan Educational society), Bhopal. Both the institutions are given permission to provide M. Phil (Cl. Psy.) from the session 2022-23. Further details regarding the same are as follows.

The Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI):

RCI is a Government Organization that manages and regulated the licensing procedures in the field of Rehabilitation and Special Education which includes an M. Phil in Clinical Psychology. RCI sets all the standards for course curriculum and it regulates and supervises the provision of services to all individuals with disabilities. It also maintains an accurate Central Rehabilitation Register of all qualified personnel working in the fields of rehabilitation and special education. RCI provides CRR number (License) to students who successfully complete the M. Phil. in a clinical psychology course, enabling them to pursue careers as clinical psychologists.

The National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (Divyangjan) is also known as National Institute for the Visually Handicapped (NIVH) and it is based in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It operates under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, which is supervised by the Indian government’s Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. NIEPVD conducts various workshops, events, and courses under the Special Educational Programmes. The details for the RCI License are as follows.
