The Admit cards for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 session are out now. This is an important notification for GATE Aspirants. Click here to download your admit card. Further details regarding the GATE 2023 are as follows.

GATE 2023 will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and seven other Indian Institutes of Technology. These Institutions are IIT Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Chennai, Roorkee, Bengaluru, and Madras.

GATE is an entrance test that assesses a candidate’s knowledge of various undergraduate engineering and science. The Gate Examiantion is equally important for Masters students as well. Students give GATE Exam to take admission in various Master’s Programmes. And, It includes MA/MSc in Cognitive Sciences. The number of participating universities has increased to 8. Also, the number of courses also increased to 29. Since 1983, India has had a GATE every year and there are now 29 separate Subjects in the exam, including psychology. Also, The mode of entrance test for all will be CBT (Computer-based Test).

Furthermore, among these eight institutions, there are only five institutes that provide Psychology as their master’s discipline. The name of which are: IIT Bangalore, Delhi, Guwahati, Mumbai, and Madras.

GATE 2023 Psychology Examination pattern:

Moreover, The General Aptitude (GA) portion includes 10 questions with 15 marks and the question distribution is as follows. There are 05 Questions with 1 mark each and 05 Questions with 2 marks each.

Furthermore Section B1(Reasoning and Comprehension) part includes 15 questions with 25 marks. Question distribution is as follows. There are 5 Questions with 1 mark each and 10 with 2 marks each.

The Psychology Paper(C5) also includes 40 questions with 60 marks and the Total number of Questions is 40. There are 20 Questions with 1 mark each and 20 with 2 marks each.

In addition, there will be a penalty of 1/3 mark for every wrong answer for 1 mark question and a penalty of 2/3 mark for every incorrect question of 2 marks.

Lastly, there are total 100 marks (General Aptitude + Reasoning and Comprehension + Psychology Paper)
