Vacancies for Clinical Psychologist and Counsellors

Vacancies are available at the Institute of Human Behavior and Allied Sciences (IHBAS) for various posts like counselor, Clinical Psychologist, Psychiatric Social Worker, etc. Information about vacancies, qualifications, other eligibility criteria, emoluments, methodology, and other terms and conditions of the recruitment are as follows. Notably, the vacancies are on a contractual basis.

Educational, Other Qualifications Required

Bachelors in Psychology /Social Work or Nursing with 2 years’ experience in mental health work, preferably counseling.

OR

MA /MSc Degree in Psychology or First or Second Class MA /MSW degree in Medical Psychiatric Social Work

OR

Candidates should have completed MSc in Psychiatric Nursing from a Recognized college /Institute /University as per India Nursing Council.

Desirable Qualification Required

Responsibilities of the Posts

Counselor1. Assess Mental Health conditions including substance use and suicide risk.

2. Provide basic psychological counseling.

3. Proactive follow-up calls with prior consent.

4. Liaise with specialists’ mental health professionals.

5. Triage and refer calls to tier 2 service providers.

6. Escalation or referral of crisis calls

7. Referral to higher-level interventions.

8. Non-experts won’t suggest or give medical treatments.
Clinical Psychologist1. Work as a mental health professional.

2. Deliver tele-based therapeutic services, IQ assessment, facilitate disability benefits, positive mental health, wellness initiatives, support, and well-being of the entire human resource of Tele MANAS.

3. Conduct IEC activities, disability benefits, and psychoeducation.

4. To help PWMI and other users of Tele MANAS.

5. To develop curated content of social work modules and manuals for service delivery.

6. Closure of loop of assessment and care.

Age Limit

For Clinical Psychologists and Counsellors, there is an upper age limit of 35 Years.

Emolument Details

  • Candidates, selected for the vacancy of Clinical Psychologists, will be provided a consolidated emolument of ₹50,000/-.
  • Candidates, who have been selected for Counsellors posts will receive ₹35,000/- as a salary.

Contractual Period and Mode of Recruitment

The vacancies are on a purely contractual basis. The period of the contract will be 3 Months at IHBAS. The recruitment of the candidates will be through a walk-in interview.

The time of the interview will be between 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

  1. Attach Two Passport-size photos (one should be pasted and one photo should be stapled with the application form).
  2. You have to mention your name and the code of post should be mentioned properly in the application form and Envelope in Capital Letters.
  3. Further, you need to attach copies of the following documents with the application form.
    • DOB Certificate
    • 10th Marksheet to display Date of Birth (DOB)
    • Mark Sheet & Certificates of Essential Educational Qualifications
    • Mark sheet & Certificates of Desirable Qualifications, if any
    • Experience Certificates (Current Working Experience Certificates Also)
    • Caste certificates, (If Any)
    • Valid Income and Assets Certificates in case of EWS Category
  4. At the time of the interview, you have to carry all the original documents mentioned above.

Important Instructions

  1. The recruitment will be on a contractual basis. The duration of the contract can be extended based on the approval of the Government of India and annual performance evaluation.
  2. No TA /DA will be payable to candidates for attending the interview.
  3. Candidates belonging to the special category like OB /ST /ST and Physically Handicapped will gain the relaxation as per govt. guidelines.
  4. Delhi State Health Mission (DSHM) has the right to alter the number of vacancies.
  5. The place of recruitment will be on the basis of merit or as per discretion of management.
  6. If there is any misleading or improper information, DSHM can reject the applications.
  7. Any suit should not have been filed against the candidates.
