The University of Delhi (DU) has released the interview notice for PhD Psychology admissions for the academic year 2024-25. This notice provides essential details regarding the schedule, required documents, and other important instructions for candidates shortlisted for the interview.

Interview Schedule and Venue

Candidates are advised to appear for an Offline Interview as per the given dates and venue:

  • Dates: 6, 7, and 8 January, 2025
  • Venue: Department of Psychology, Arts Faculty Extension Building, University of Delhi, North Campus, Delhi – 110007

Documents required for Verification

Applicants must bring the following self-attested documents along with their original versions for verification:

  1. Printout of the online application form.
  2. Latest caste/category certificate (for OBC/SC/ST/PwBD/EWS candidates, as applicable).
  3. Birth certificate or Class X certificate for date of birth verification.
  4. Marksheets and certificates from Class X onwards.
  5. Post-graduation marksheet and degree certificate.
  6. UGC NET/Equivalent qualification certificate.
  7. 3 copies of the proposal/synopsis submitted online.
  8. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer (for DU employees).

Note: Any suppression of information or lack of valid documents may result in disqualification.

Eligibility Criteria

To appear for the interview, candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria:

  • A Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Psychology, Behavioral & Cognitive Sciences, or Human Development and Family Studies with at least 55% marks (or 50% for OBC/SC/ST/PwBD candidates) from a recognized university.

Interview Format

Each candidate will be allotted five minutes for a presentation (arrangement is there for PPT presentation), followed by an interaction with the interview panel. It is recommended to practice the presentation to adhere to the time limit and effectively communicate your research proposal.
