Manipal MSc Applied and Clinical Psychology Admissions 2026

The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), a deemed-to-be university in Manipal, Karnataka, has opened applications for its Master’s Programs in psychology (non-RCI) for the 2026-27 academic session. It offers a wide range of specialized programs across its campuses in India.

Master’s in Psychology Programs at Various MAHE Campuses

Manipal College of Health Professions (MCHP), Manipal

  • MSc Clinical Psychology

Department of Liberal Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Manipal Hospitals (MH), Bengaluru

  • MSc Applied Psychology

Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Mangalore

  • MSc Clinical Psychology

Manipal-TATA Medical College (MTMC), Jamshedpur

  • MSc Clinical Psychology

Eligibility Criteria

For MSc Applied Psychology

  • Candidates must have a BA/BSc degree in Psychology from a UGC-recognized university with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or equivalent in the qualifying examination.
  • Applicants must also have completed at least 24 credits in Psychology during their undergraduate studies, either as a major or minor subject.

For MSc Clinical Psychology

  • Candidates must have a BA/BSc degree in Psychology from a UGC-recognized university, with a minimum aggregate of 55% or equivalent in the qualifying examination.

Method of Selection

For MSc Applied Psychology

Candidates can take admission in the MSc Applied Psychology Program offered by MAHE through the following two routes:

1. Direct Admission Route:

  • Apply online through the official admission portal.
  • Upload undergraduate marks cards (up to the pre-final year).
  • Upload supporting documents, such as:
    • Portfolio
    • Internships
    • Projects
    • Fieldwork experience
  • Upload certificates for co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

The university will invite shortlisted candidates for a Personal Interview (PI) and prepare a merit list based on the following factors:

  • Performance in the Personal Interview
  • Undergraduate academic marks
  • Portfolio / Internships / Projects / Fieldwork experience
  • Co-curricular and extracurricular achievements

Based on the merit list, the university will issue provisional admission offers to shortlisted candidates, followed by the completion of admission formalities.

2. CUET-PG Route

Applicants must:

  • Apply online, and
  • Appear for CUET-PG 2026.
  • Submit the CUET-PG scorecard during the admission process.

Shortlisted candidates will then appear for a Personal Interview (PI). A merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s performance in the Personal Interview.

Based on merit and availability of seats, the university will issue provisional admission offers, after which selected candidates must complete the required admission formalities.

For MSc Clinical Psychology

  • Admission to the MSc Clinical Psychology program offered by MAHE will be based on the Manipal Entrance Test (MET).
  • The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the Entrance Test.
  • Notification of Provisional Admission will be given to the shortlisted candidates, subject to document verification and meeting of eligibility criteria.

Application Process

  1. Visit the Portal.
  2. Register and Create an Account: New users must create an account by providing basic details and verifying their email address.
  3. Fill the Application Form: Complete the online form carefully, including academic details, personal information, and program preference.
  4. Upload Documents: Applicants must upload scanned copies of their academic transcripts, photograph, and signature as per the specified format.
  5. Pay the Application Fee: Proceed to the payment gateway through the online portal to pay the application fee to complete the submission process.
  6. Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for the Selection Process, which may include a Personal Interview.
