MPhil in Rehabilitation Psychology at NIEPID Noida – Admissions 2025-26

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU or commonly known as IP University) has started inviting the applications on the behalf of National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPED) Regional Center, Noida for its MPhil Rehabilitation Psychology (2025) course for the academic session 2025-26. NIEPED, was created in 1984 at Manovikasnagar, Secunderabad, is an autonomous body under the administrative control of Deparment of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. It has three regional centers located at Noida, NCT-Delhi, Kolkata, & Mumbai.

NIEPID Model Special Education Center located at Noida, strives to excel in empowering persons with Intellectual Disabilities. It’s also affiliated with the renowned Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha (GGSIU) University [located in Dwarka, Delhi]. Their MPhil in Rehabilitation Psychology course is recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).

Method of Selection

Admission to the MPhil in Rehabilitation Psychology at NIEPID, Noida shall be through a Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the GGSIP University.

The CET will either be conducted online through CBT or Offline through OMR Sheet based upon MCQs. It will be conducted at designated centers only. Mode of the Exam will be notified later on the [IP] University’s website.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The educational requirement for admission in this course will be a 2 year MA/MSc degree in Psychology from a UGC recognized university.
  • Minimum aggregate marks or Equivalent grade are 55% for General Categories and 50% for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS and Differently-abled categories.

Exam Pattern

  1. The CET will consist of 100 multiple choice questions.
  2. Following are the topic from which you can expect the Questions:
    • General Psychology: 50%
    • Disability Acts & Policies: 10%
    • Research & Statistics: 15%
    • General Knowledge, Arithmetic, Reasoning, etc.: 25%
  3. The total time allotted for CET will be 120 minutes (2 hrs.)
  4. 4 marks will be given for each correct answer, There will be No Negative marking.
  5. The language of CET will be English.
  6. There will be an Interview.
  7. The Final result will be based on the cumulative performance in Theory (90%) & Interview (10%).
