The Advanced Diploma in Child Guidance and Counselling (ADCGC) offered by SPNIWCD, Indore, is a one-year full-time regular program that includes:
- 10 months of coursework
- 2 months of internship

Eligibility Criteria for the ADCGC Program

- Educational Qualification: A postgraduate degree in any of the following disciplines: Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation Psychology, Child Development, Human Development, Education, or an M.Ed. in Special Education.
- Minimum Marks:
- General (Unreserved) Category: At least 55% aggregate marks
- Reserved Categories (SC/ST): At least 50% aggregate marks
- from a UGC-recognized university.
- ‘Result Awaited’ Candidates: Applicants whose results are pending are also eligible to apply. However, they must submit their Final mark sheet and degree certificate at the time of admission. Failure to do so by the given deadline will result in the cancellation of admission.
Method of Selection for the ADCGC Program
Admission to the ADCGC program of SPNIWCD, Indore, is based on a two-stage selection process:
- Written Entrance Test (75% weightage)
- Personal Interview (25% weightage)
Additionally, selected candidates must submit a medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner upon admission.

Entrance Exam Pattern for ADCGC Program
Written Entrance Examination
- Total Marks: 75
- Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
- Mode: Offline
- Qualifying Marks: Minimum 40%
- The test consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering:
- General and Social Awareness
- Logical Reasoning & Problem-Solving Ability
- English Language Comprehension
- Guidelines for the Written Test
- Eligible candidates will be notified via email.
- Candidates must carry:
- A valid photo ID (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License)
- A copy of the confirmation email
- No separate admit card will be issued.
- There is no negative marking.
- The test will be conducted offline at SPNIWCD Regional Centre, Indore (Near Gomat Giri, Hathod Road, Gandhi Nagar).

Personal Interview (PI)
- The interview will be conducted face-to-face with a panel of experts.
- It aims to assess:

- Motivation to pursue counselling as a career

Application Submission Process
- Candidates can access the application form for SPNIWCD Indore’s ADCGC program below (attached at the end of this article). They must download, print, and carefully complete the form before submission.
- After that, candidates need to carefully attach all the necessary documents to the forms.
- Candidates must submit the duly filled application form on or before April 15, 2026 (by 5:00 PM).
- The fee can be:
- Paid online in favour of SPNIWCD, Regional Centre, Indore, or
- Deposited directly at the institute
- In case of online payment, candidates must attach a copy of the Unique Transaction Reference (UTR) with the application form.

1. Is the ADCGC course recognized by RCI?
Yes. The Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) recognizes the program, allowing eligible graduates to apply for RCI registration after completing the course.
2. What designation is given by RCI after completing the ADCGC program?
After completing the course and passing all theory and practical examinations, candidates can apply for registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Upon approval, they receive a license as a Rehabilitation Counsellor.
3. Does SPNIWCD directly provide the RCI license?
No. SPNIWCD provides the required documents, such as the provisional certificate, marksheet, and authentication letter. Candidates must upload these documents to the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) online portal, after which the RCI verifies them and issues the licence.
4. Can candidates choose a language other than English for the entrance exam?
Currently, SPNIWCD conducts both the entrance examination and the course only in English.
