Admission to the ADCGC program at SPNIWCD Mohali is based on a two-stage selection process:
- Stage 1: Written Entrance Test (weightage: 60%)
- Candidates must first appear for a written entrance examination
- A minimum of:
- 50% marks are required to qualify
- 45% (5% relaxation) for SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates
- Stage 2: Personal Interview (weightage: 40%)

Written Entrance Examination
- Duration: 1.5 hours
- Format: 60 MCQs (1 mark each)
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per incorrect answer

- No separate admit card will be issued

Personal Interview (PI)
- The institute shortlists the top 60 candidates from the written test for the personal interview

- Work experience in counselling/mental health

- Reservation certificate (issued within the last 6 months)
- Additional Preference: The institute may give preference to students from the Department of Psychology, Panjab University (Master’s/Post M.A. Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy)
Application Submission Process
- Candidates can access the application forms for the SPNIWCD Mohali’s ADCGC program from below (the form is attached at the end of the article; candidates need to download it and take a printout of it).
- Candidates need to carefully fill out the application form and attach all the necessary documents with it.
- Candidates must submit the duly filled application form on or before April 30, 2026 (till 5:00 PM).

Yes. The Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) recognizes the program, allowing eligible graduates to apply for RCI registration after completing the course.
2. What designation is given by RCI after completing the ADCGC program?
After completing the course and passing all theory and practical examinations, candidates can apply for registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Upon approval, they receive a license as a Rehabilitation Counsellor.
3. Does SPNIWCD directly provide the RCI license?
No. SPNIWCD provides the required documents, such as the provisional certificate, marksheet, and authentication letter. Candidates must upload these documents to the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) online portal, after which the RCI verifies them and issues the licence.
