Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the MClinPsy-RCI programme at SMC Ghaziabad must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Candidates must have completed a 4-year BA/BSc degree in Psychology from a UGC recognised university.
• Candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in the qualifying degree.
• Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, as per the Government of India norms.
• Candidates who completed a 3-year graduation programme in Psychology must either:
  • pass a fourth-year Bridge Course, or
  • complete the first year of a Master’s programme in Psychology,
• With a minimum of 55% marks.

Method of Selection

Admission to the MClinPsy-RCI programme at SMC Ghaziabad is conducted through a two-stage selection process:

1. Entrance Examination: Candidates must first appear for and qualify in the mandatory MCQ-based entrance examination.
2. Viva-Voce/Personal Interview: Candidates who meet the required cut-off and are shortlisted on the basis of their merit in the entrance examination proceed to the Viva-Voce/Personal Interview (PI) round.

The final selection is based on a Cumulative Merit Score, which combines the candidate’s performance in the entrance examination and interview according to the prescribed weightage.
