Vacancies for Clinical Psychology Tutor at CIP Ranchi

The Central Institute of Psychiatry in Ranchi is a top-notch facility for mental health issues in India. The M.Phil Clinical Psychology, which began in either 1962 or 1985, is very popular and in high demand. The institute is connected with Ranchi University and provides a range of courses in different subjects.

Essential Qualification

The candidates must have completed their M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology or any other qualification equivalent to this from a recognized university. Besides this, M.Phil. degree in Medical & Social Psychology or Clinical Psychology is essential for the post of Clinical Psychology tutor.

There will be a written examination for the post of Clinical Psychology tutor on January 09, 2024. The selection process for the post would be based on a screening test through a theory exam of one hour having a weightage of 60 percent. The exam will contain the Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).

Candidates will get 4 marks for the correct answer. However, it is notable that there is a negative marking of 1 mark in the examination for the wrong answer each.

The Weightage of assessment will be 40 marks. The distribution of 40 marks is as follows.

Number of the Post

As of now, there are 2 vacancies available for Clinical Psychology tutors at CIP Ranchi. 1 seat is reserved for Other-Backward Caste (OBC) candidates and the remaining 1 is Unreserved.

Age Limit and Relaxations

There is an age limit of 40 years for the post of Clinical Psychology tutor. A relaxation of 3 years has been provided to those candidates who belong to the category of OBC and 5 years for SC /ST candidates. 10 years for PwD candidates, 13 years for OBC individuals with disabilities, and 15 years for SC /ST candidates with disabilities.

In the case of Armed Force candidates and widows, divorced women, and judicially separated from their husbands who are not married, will be provided the relaxation as per the instructions of Govt. of India.

Emolument Details

The selected candidates will receive a consolidated emolument of ₹35,400/- + other allowances as per the rules of Govt.
